Rudy Vallee

Rudy Vallée (1901-1986) was a prominent American singer, actor, and bandleader known for his soft crooning style and innovative contributions to radio entertainment in the 1920s and 1930s. He gained fame as one of the first male vocalists to transition from local radio to national popularity, using a megaphone during performances to project his voice before the advent of amplification. Vallée also had a successful career in film, Broadway, and television, and he was a significant cultural figure during the traditional pop music era. He remained active in entertainment until the mid-1980s and passed away in Los Angeles.
