Charlie Weaver

Charles Earl Weaver Jr., born on July 12, 1949, in Greenwood, Mississippi, is a former professional American football linebacker who played in the NFL. Drafted in the second round of the 1971 NFL Draft by the Detroit Lions, he had a notable ten-season career there before briefly joining the Washington Redskins in 1981. Weaver, recognized as a consensus All-American in 1970, was known for his defensive skills and contributed significantly to both his college team at the University of Southern California and his professional teams, playing a total of 147 NFL games.
