Page Hot Lips

Oran Thaddeus "Hot Lips" Page (1908–1954) was an influential American jazz trumpeter, singer, and bandleader recognized for his vibrant solo performances and powerful vocals. His career spanned from the late 1920s to the early 1950s, during which he performed with notable groups like Walter Page's Blue Devils, Count Basie's Orchestra, and Artie Shaw's Orchestra, contributing to over 200 recordings. A significant figure in the development of rhythm and blues, Page was known for his late-night jam sessions and was a prominent performer in venues such as Harlem's Apollo Theater. He passed away in New York City in 1954 at the age of 46.
