Jo-Ann Kelly

Jo Ann Kelly (1944–1990) was an English blues singer and guitarist known for her strong vocal style and proficiency in country blues guitar. Active from 1962 until her death, she gained recognition through her solo works and contributions to compilation albums, and was a key member of the band Tramp. Despite offers from American bands like Canned Heat, she chose to primarily perform in the UK and Europe. Kelly's music and contributions have earned her respect among blues artists, marking her as a notable figure in the British blues scene. She passed away from a malignant brain tumor at age 46.
