Bell Leigh And The Chimes

Timothy John Leigh Bell, Baron Bell (1941–2019) was a British advertising and public relations executive noted for his pivotal role in Margaret Thatcher's successful general election campaigns and for co-founding the agency Bell Pottinger, which he led for three decades. Raised in London, he became known as Thatcher's "favorite spin-doctor" due to his strategic influence and media management in the 1979 and subsequent elections. Bell was later appointed to the House of Lords in 1998, but his later career was marred by controversies surrounding unethical PR practices, culminating in the expulsion of Bell Pottinger from industry bodies in 2017 for its role in stoking racial tensions in South Africa.
