The Sharades

"Dumb Head" is a 1963 single by American girl-pop artist Ginny Arnell, written by David Hess and Camille Monte, and produced by Jim Vienneau. Released in November, it became a minor hit, reaching number 50 on the Billboard Hot 100 and was included on her debut album, "Meet Ginny Arnell." The song features a playful theme about regret in a romantic context and showcases distinctive instrumentation. Despite mixed critical reception, it has been retrospectively regarded as a notable entry in the girl-pop genre, influencing later artists and seeing various cover versions, including one by British girl group The Sharades.
