Carl SandbergAnders Wilhelm Sandberg (1887-1938) was a Danish film director and screenwriter known for his significant contributions to early cinema. He began his career in 1914 with Nordisk Film and gained acclaim for his 1917 work "Klovnen" (The Clown), which launched his reputation. Sandberg directed notable adaptations of Charles Dickens' novels during the 1920s and produced a total of 58 films. In the 1930s, he shifted focus to documentaries until his death while on vacation.
