Lister Shaw

Shaw Communications Inc. was a prominent Canadian telecommunications company, established in 1966 and originally named Capital Cable Television Company, Ltd. It provided various services including telephone, internet, television, and mobile solutions, primarily in Alberta and British Columbia, until its acquisition by Rogers Communications in 2023, leading to its dissolution as a separate entity. The company was notable for its rapid expansion through acquisitions in the 1980s and 1990s and eventually became a key player in the Canadian telecom market, competing primarily with Telus Communications. Following the merger, many of Shaw's operations were rebranded under the Rogers name.
