Dickie Goodman

Dickie Goodman (1934–1989) was an American musician and record producer known for pioneering the "break-in" technique, an early form of sampling that used snippets of popular songs for comedic effect in novelty records. He gained notable success with his hit "The Flying Saucer Parts 1 & 2" in 1956, and throughout his career, he produced numerous novelty singles that parodied pop culture and current events, achieving recognition in the Billboard charts. Goodman's work remains influential, and he posthumously received a Grammy Award for his contributions to music and comedy.
