Winnie GouldWinnie-the-Pooh is a fictional anthropomorphic teddy bear created by English author A. A. Milne and illustrator E. H. Shepard. First introduced in a 1925 story for London's Evening News and later in the 1926 book "Winnie-the-Pooh," the character is based on a toy owned by Milne's son, Christopher Robin, and a bear named Winnie seen at the London Zoo. Set in the fictional Hundred Acre Wood inspired by Ashdown Forest in East Sussex, Pooh's stories and poems have been translated into many languages and adapted into a highly successful Disney franchise, solidifying his place in popular culture.
