Bob Seger is a retired American singer-songwriter born on May 6, 1945, in Detroit, Michigan. He gained prominence in the late 1960s and became a leading figure in the heartland rock genre, known for his raspy voice and relatable lyrics about love and blue-collar life. His breakthrough album, "Night Moves" (1976), solidified his national reputation, alongside hits like "Old Time Rock and Roll" and "Against the Wind." Over a career spanning six decades, Seger sold over 75 million records and was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2004. He completed his farewell tour in 2019.
