Fenton Robinson

Fenton Robinson (1935-1997) was an influential American blues singer and guitarist known for his contributions to the Chicago blues genre. He gained notability for his signature song "Somebody Loan Me a Dime," which became a blues standard and was featured in the film The Blues Brothers. Active from the late 1950s until his death, Robinson was recognized for his work with Alligator Records and received a Grammy nomination for his album I Hear Some Blues Downstairs. He was inducted into the Blues Hall of Fame in 2023.
