Peppermint Harris

Peppermint Harris, born Harrison Demotra Nelson, Jr. in 1925, was an influential American R&B and jump blues singer and guitarist, recognized for his hit "I Got Loaded," which topped the U.S. Billboard R&B chart in 1951. Initially recording in the late 1940s as Peppermint Nelson with Lightnin' Hopkins, he later transitioned to recording under his more popular stage name with various labels, including Modern Records and Aladdin Records, before his passing in 1999.
