Frankie CarleFrankie Carle, born Francis Nunzio Carlone in 1903, was a prominent American pianist and bandleader known for his influential work in the big band and easy listening genres during the 1940s and 1950s. He became famous for his composition "Sunrise Serenade," which achieved significant commercial success, and earned the nickname "The Wizard of the Keyboard" for his exceptional piano skills. Carle maintained a successful career until his retirement in 1989 and was recognized with several honors, including a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame and induction into the Big Band and Jazz Hall of Fame.
