Irwin Big Dee

Big Dee Irwin, born DiFosco T. Ervin Jr. in 1932, was an American R&B singer and songwriter known for his 1963 hit rendition of "Swinging on a Star," a duet with Little Eva. Active primarily from the mid-1950s to the late 1970s, Irwin initially gained fame with his group, The Pastels, before launching a solo career that included songwriting for notable artists. Despite a decline in commercial success after his early hits, he remained active in the music industry and performed at significant events throughout the 1960s. Irwin passed away in 1995.
