The Manhattans

The Manhattans are an American R&B vocal group formed in Jersey City, New Jersey, in 1962. They gained significant fame in the 1970s with chart-topping hits like "Kiss and Say Goodbye" and "Shining Star," achieving multiple Gold and Platinum certifications from the RIAA. They have recorded 45 hits on the Billboard R&B Chart and are noted for their contribution to the genre, marked by their blending of rhythm and blues with Philadelphia soul. The group continues to perform, and in 2024, they were inducted into The Atlantic City Walk of Fame.
