GenevieveGenevieve, a 5th-century consecrated virgin and one of the patron saints of Paris, is celebrated for her piety and miracles. Born around 419-422 in Nanterre, she dedicated her life to charitable works and prayer, notably helping to save Paris from destruction during the Huns' siege led by Attila in 451. She was influential in the construction of significant churches, including the Basilica of Saint Denis, and was recognized as a cultural symbol in Parisian history. Canonized pre-congregation, her feast day is observed on January 3, and her legacy endured, with her shrine becoming a notable pilgrimage site after her death around 502-512. (Source: Wikipedia)
