Michael StanburyMorwenstow is a civil parish in north Cornwall, England, located about six miles north of Bude and known for its scenic coastal beauty. It is notable for being the home of the eccentric vicar and poet Robert Stephen Hawker, who contributed to Cornwall's cultural heritage and revived the Harvest Festival tradition. The parish includes small settlements and has a population of 791 as of the 2011 census. Morwenstow features the Church of St Morwenna and St John the Baptist, linked to several historical and literary figures, and its rugged coastline has also been associated with maritime tragedies.
