Horizon Various ArtistsVertical Horizon Vertical Horizon American rock band Vertical Horizon is an American alternative rock band formed in Washington, D.C. in 1991. Matt Scannell and Keith Kane started the band when they were students at Georgetown University. Vertical Horizon is best known for its 1999 single "Everything You Want", the title track of its third studio album (1999). The album reached number one on the Billboard Hot 100 in 2000, was certified double platinum, and spawned two further chart entries ("You're a God" and "Best I Ever Had (Grey Sky Morning)") as well as another single ("We Are") that reached the Modern Rock Tracks chart.
