Floyd King

King Floyd (1945–2006) was an American soul singer from New Orleans, renowned for his 1970 hit "Groove Me," which topped the R&B chart and reached number six on the Billboard Hot 100. His career spanned from the 1960s to the early 2000s, with notable songs including "Baby Let Me Kiss You" and "I Feel Like Dynamite." Despite early success, Floyd's later releases did not achieve the same acclaim, although he contributed to the 1995 hit "Boombastic" by Shaggy. Floyd passed away in 2006 due to complications from a stroke and diabetes.
