Hugo Winterhalter

Hugo Winterhalter (1909–1973) was an American musician, arranger, and composer notable for his work in easy listening music, particularly during the mid-20th century. He gained recognition for his arrangements and recordings with RCA Victor, where he collaborated with various prominent artists and produced several chart hits, including "Canadian Sunset." A graduate of the New England Conservatory of Music, Winterhalter's career included work as a conductor and arranger for both record labels and films, leaving a significant mark on the popular music landscape of his time before his passing from cancer in 1973.
