Greenwoods The (Greenwoods County Singers)

Clarence Carson Parks II (1936-2005) was an American singer, songwriter, and music publisher, best known for writing the hit "Somethin' Stupid," famously performed by Frank and Nancy Sinatra. Parks began his music career in the late 1950s, collaborating with various groups and forming the choral group Greenwood County Singers, later known as The Greenwoods. After the success of "Somethin' Stupid," which topped the charts, he shifted focus to music publishing, owning firms in North Carolina. He died at the age of 69 in Georgia.
