Noble Ray And His Orchestra

Ray Noble (1903–1978) was an influential English jazz and big band musician known for his roles as a bandleader, composer, and arranger during the British dance band era. He is celebrated for iconic songs such as "The Very Thought of You" and "Cherokee," collaborating closely with vocalist Al Bowlly. Noble's career spanned from the late 1920s to the mid-1950s and included successful stints in both the UK and the United States, where he also appeared as a comedian and actor. He was inducted into the Big Band and Jazz Hall of Fame and the Songwriters Hall of Fame for his contributions to music.
