Vincent Edwards

Vince Edwards (1928–1996) was an American actor, director, and singer, most notable for his portrayal of Dr. Ben Casey in the eponymous television series that aired from 1961 to 1966. Edwards also appeared in significant film roles, including Major Cliff Bricker in the 1968 war film The Devil's Brigade, and directed several television episodes throughout his career, which spanned from 1947 to 1995. Despite his success, he struggled with compulsive gambling, which impacted his career. Edwards passed away from pancreatic cancer in 1996.
