Lucas Buddy & The Shouters

Buddy Lucas (1914–1983) was an American jazz saxophonist and bandleader, renowned primarily for his session work on harmonica. He led various bands, including Buddy Lucas & His Band of Tomorrow, and collaborated with notable artists such as Aretha Franklin and Jimmy Smith. Originally from Alabama, Lucas contributed significantly to the jazz and R&B scenes throughout his career, making a mark as both a leader and a sideman in various recordings until his death in Connecticut at the age of 68.
