Ash Marvin And His Dixie Blue BlowersRich Conaty (1954–2016) was a notable New York City disc jockey best known for his long-running radio show, The Big Broadcast, which he started as a Fordham University freshman in 1973. The program featured jazz and popular music from the 1920s and 1930s, amassing over 2,200 episodes throughout its more than 40-year run, and showcasing Conaty's extensive knowledge and passion for the genre. He also contributed to the jazz community through compilations and was influential in the establishment of Vince Giordano's Nighthawks Orchestra. Conaty passed away from lymphoma at age 62.
