Carol Lawrence

Carol Lawrence, born Carolina Maria Laraia in 1932, is an American actress, singer, and dancer notable for her role as Maria in the original Broadway production of "West Side Story," which debuted in 1957 and earned her a Tony nomination. Active in musical theater and television from 1952 to 2018, she performed in several notable productions and shows, including "Funny Girl" and "Murder, She Wrote." Lawrence, who married famous performer Robert Goulet, has also authored an autobiography and received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, reflecting her significant contributions to the performing arts.
