Jimmy Wisner

Jimmy Wisner (1931-2018) was an American pianist, arranger, songwriter, and producer, renowned for his 1961 hit "Asia Minor," released under the name Kokomo. Originating from Philadelphia, Wisner's career spanned several decades, during which he produced music for notable artists, collaborated with various musicians, and briefly headed Columbia Records' A&R department. He also experimented with synthesizer music, releasing "Music from Star Wars" under the name Electric Moog Orchestra in 1977. Despite limited commercial success after "Asia Minor," Wisner made significant contributions to the music industry until his death in 2018.
