Lovelace WatkinsLovelace Watkins (1933-1995) was an American singer and performer based in Las Vegas, known for his powerful vocal style and often referred to as "The Black Sinatra." He gained prominence in the 1960s and 1970s, performing at notable venues such as the London Palladium and making television appearances on shows like The Ed Sullivan Show. Watkins had a diverse heritage and trained in microbiology, but ultimately pursued music, recording several albums and singles throughout his career, while also engaging in philanthropic activities in Australia and South Africa before passing away from leukemia.
