Terry PollardTerry Pollard (1931–2009) was an American jazz pianist and vibraphonist prominent in the Detroit jazz scene during the 1940s and 1950s. Known for her collaborations with notable musicians like Terry Gibbs and John Coltrane, Pollard achieved recognition for her talent, winning DownBeat magazine's New Artist award in 1956 and recording a self-titled album in 1955. Although she retired from full-time music to raise her family, she continued to perform locally and received posthumous recognition for her contributions to jazz, including induction into the Michigan Jazz Hall of Fame.
