Marv JenkinsMarv Johnson (1938–1993) was an American R&B singer, songwriter, and pianist instrumental in the early development of Motown music, known for his hit "Come to Me," the first record released by Tamla Records. Although he achieved greater success overseas, particularly in the UK and Australia, Johnson had nine Billboard Hot 100 singles between 1959 and 1961, including two Top 10 hits. After a decline in chart success in the early 1960s, he continued to write and perform into the 1990s, with his songs influencing later artists. Johnson passed away from a stroke in 1993 and was posthumously recognized for his contributions to music. (Source: Wikipedia)
