Manone Wingy And His Orchestra

Wingy Manone (1900–1982) was an influential American jazz trumpeter, composer, singer, and bandleader known for his lively performances and distinctive style. Born in New Orleans, he lost his right arm in a childhood accident but skillfully adapted, maintaining a successful career from the 1920s until the early 1980s, with notable recordings like "Tar Paper Stomp" and "There'll Come a Time (Wait and See)." His work included collaborations with various artists, and he was recognized for his contributions to jazz through recordings, performances, and his autobiography published in 1948. Manone's impact on the jazz scene persisted throughout his life until his passing in Las Vegas.
