Carl Story

Carl Story (1916-1995) was an influential American bluegrass musician and the leader of the band the Rambling Mountaineers, recognized as "The Father of Bluegrass Gospel Music" by the governor of Oklahoma. He began his career in the early 1930s and gained prominence through his radio performances and various recordings, notably with Mercury and Starday Records, while also touring extensively across the U.S. and Europe. Story's contributions to bluegrass, including his mastery of several instruments, solidified his legacy in the genre before his death in Greenville, South Carolina.
