Smith Robert CurtisRobert Curtis Smith (February 17, 1930 – November 10, 2010) was an American Piedmont blues singer, guitarist, and songwriter from Cruger, Mississippi. Active primarily in the 1960s, he recorded one notable album, "Clarksdale Blues: The Blues of Robert Curtis Smith," released in 1963. Influenced by Big Bill Broonzy, he often addressed personal and social themes in his music, including the conditions of plantation life. After relocating to Chicago in 1968, Smith shifted his focus to gospel music later in life. He passed away in Chicago at the age of 80. (Source: Wikipedia)
