Dolores Hawkins

Dolores Hawkins (1929–1987) was an American rhythm and blues singer from Brooklyn, recognized for her collaborations with prominent band leaders like Gene Krupa and Red Saunders. Notable for her recordings in the early 1950s, she gained attention with tracks such as "Heavenly Father" and "Scrap of Paper." Hawkins also performed in films, singing the title song for "A Kiss Before Dying" in 1956 and contributing to MGM's remake of "The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn." Her career spanned several years, with significant contributions to the rhythm and blues genre, particularly in the 1950s and 1960s.
