Bill DuncanBill Schuette is an American lawyer and politician, born on October 13, 1953, in Midland, Michigan. He served as the 53rd Attorney General of Michigan from 2011 to 2019 and previously held positions as a U.S. Representative, Michigan State Senator, judge on the Michigan Court of Appeals, and director of the Michigan Department of Agriculture. A Republican, Schuette ran unsuccessfully for the U.S. Senate in 1990 and for Governor of Michigan in the 2018 election. He is known for his significant involvement in Michigan politics and has been a controversial figure, particularly in matters concerning medical marijuana, same-sex marriage, and election integrity.
