Bill Anderson, born James William Anderson III on November 1, 1937, is a prominent American country music singer-songwriter and television host, widely recognized for his smooth, whispery singing style, earning him the nickname "Whispering Bill." Rising to fame in the late 1950s with his hit "City Lights," he became a significant figure in country music throughout the 1960s and 1970s, achieving notable success with songs like "Still" and "I Love You Drops."
