Dot Various ArtistsDot Records was an American record label established in 1950 by Randy Wood and Gene Nobles, initially based in Gallatin, Tennessee. Active until 1978, it gained prominence for a diverse roster of genres, including country, rhythm and blues, pop, and early rock and roll, becoming particularly noted for its country music artists from the 1960s onward. After its acquisition by Paramount Pictures in 1957, Dot transitioned to Hollywood and saw significant successes with artists like Pat Boone and Johnny Maddox.
