The Surf Stompers

Bruce Gary (April 7, 1951 – August 22, 2006) was an American drummer renowned for his work with the rock band The Knack, best known for their hit "My Sharona." Active from 1969 until his death, he also collaborated with notable artists such as Bob Dylan, George Harrison, and Jimi Hendrix, earning two Grammy nominations as a performer and producer. Gary's career spanned a variety of musical genres including rock and blues, and he became a sought-after session drummer after The Knack disbanded in the early 1980s. He passed away from Non-Hodgkin lymphoma at the age of 55.
