Memphis Willie B.

Memphis Willie B. (William Borum, 1911–1993) was an American blues musician known for his work as a guitarist, harmonica player, singer, and songwriter in the Memphis and Piedmont blues genres. Active from the early 1930s until the late 1960s, he gained prominence through associations with groups like Jack Kelly's Jug Busters and the Memphis Jug Band, and his career experienced a resurgence in the 1960s with albums for Bluesville Records, including notable tracks such as "The Stuff Is Here" and "Overseas Blues." He served in the U.S. Army during World War II and later performed at various festivals until his abrupt departure from music in the late 1960s.
