Barry McGuire

Barry McGuire, born on October 15, 1935, is an American singer-songwriter best known for his 1965 folk rock hit "Eve of Destruction," which reached number one on the Billboard Hot 100. Initially rising to fame in the 1960s, he later transitioned into contemporary Christian music, producing multiple albums and collaborating with various artists. McGuire became a born-again Christian in 1971, influencing his musical direction. Over his long career, he has maintained a presence in the music scene, performing and recording into the 21st century while also engaging in various artistic and evangelical projects.
