Marie McDonaldAnn-Marie MacDonald, born on October 29, 1958, in West Germany, is a Canadian playwright, novelist, actress, and broadcast journalist known for her influential works in Canadian literature and theatre. Notable for her award-winning novel "Fall on Your Knees" and the play "Goodnight Desdemona (Good Morning Juliet)," she has also hosted several CBC documentary series. Recognized for her contributions to the arts and advocacy for LGBTQ+ and women's rights, MacDonald was appointed an Officer of the Order of Canada in 2018.
