Barry Mann

Barry Mann, born Barry Imberman on February 9, 1939, is an influential American songwriter and musician known for his successful partnership with lyricist Cynthia Weil. Active since the late 1950s, Mann co-wrote numerous hits, including "You've Lost That Lovin' Feelin'", and received accolades such as induction into the Songwriters Hall of Fame in 1987. With a substantial catalog that includes over 600 songs, Mann has also contributed to film music, notably "Somewhere Out There" from *An American Tail*, which won two Grammy Awards. Mann was married to Weil until her death in 2023, and they resided in Beverly Hills, California.
