The Rainy Daze

The Rainy Daze was a psychedelic pop group formed in 1965 in Denver, Colorado, featuring members Tim Gilbert, Kip Gilbert, Mac Ferris, Sam Fuller, and Bob Heckendorf. They rose to prominence with their 1967 album "That Acapulco Gold," which included a title track that reached #70 on the Billboard Hot 100, though its promotional efforts were curtailed due to its pro-marijuana messaging. Tim Gilbert later co-wrote the hit "Incense and Peppermints" with John S. Carter, contributing to the group's notability in the psychedelic music scene.
