Hank Mizell

Hank Mizell was an American singer, guitarist, and songwriter born William M. Mizell on November 9, 1923, in Daytona Beach, Florida. He is best known for his 1958 rockabilly single "Jungle Rock," which gained significant popularity decades later, reaching number three in the UK Singles Chart in 1976 and number one in the Netherlands. Following a brief music career, Mizell became a preacher in the 1960s but returned to the spotlight later through reissues of his song, ultimately passing away on December 23, 1992, in Tennessee.
