Sal NisticoSal Nistico (1940–1991) was an American jazz tenor saxophonist known for his work in big bands and small ensembles. He gained prominence playing with Woody Herman's band from 1962 to 1965 and later joined Count Basie's orchestra. Nistico was recognized for his bebop-oriented solo projects, contributing to the jazz scene through performances in Europe and collaborations with notable musicians.
