Jimmy Witherspoon

Jimmy Witherspoon (1920–1997) was an influential American jump blues and jazz singer known for his rich, powerful voice. He rose to prominence in the 1940s with hits like "Ain't Nobody's Business" and continued to perform and record through the 1990s, collaborating with notable artists and participating in prominent events such as the Monterey Jazz Festival. Witherspoon's style helped shape the blues genre, and despite facing a decline in popularity during the mid-1950s, he successfully revived his career and left a lasting impact on the music landscape before his death in Los Angeles.
