Johnny Tillotson

Johnny Tillotson (1938-2025) was an American singer-songwriter known for his success in the early 1960s, with nine top-ten hits across pop, country, and adult contemporary charts. Notable songs include "Poetry in Motion" and "It Keeps Right On a-Hurtin'", the latter earning him a Grammy nomination. Tillotson's career spanned several decades, during which he recorded for various labels and toured internationally, but he faced a decline in popularity as musical styles changed. He was inducted into the Florida Artists Hall of Fame and continued to perform and record until his death from complications of Parkinson's disease.
