B.J. Thomas

B. J. Thomas, born Billy Joe Thomas on August 7, 1942, in Hugo, Oklahoma, was an influential American singer known for his work in country, contemporary Christian, and pop music throughout the 1960s to the 1980s. He gained fame with hits like "Raindrops Keep Fallin' on My Head," which won an Academy Award, and "Hooked on a Feeling." His career included extensive work in gospel music and significant contributions to the country genre, earning him accolades such as Grammy awards and a spot in the Grammy Hall of Fame. Thomas passed away on May 29, 2021, at the age of 78.
