Neil Sedaka

Neil Sedaka, born on March 13, 1939, in New York City, is an American singer, songwriter, and pianist whose career spans from 1957 to the present. He gained fame in the late 1950s and early 1960s with hit singles like "Oh! Carol" and "Breaking Up Is Hard to Do," before experiencing a decline in popularity due to the British Invasion. Sedaka made a significant comeback in the mid-1970s with chart-toppers such as "Laughter in the Rain." Notably, he has written over 500 songs, collaborated with various artists, and was inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame in 1983, continuing to perform into his 80s.
